Ausman, fair play to you - mighty respect for the triathlons, it's all good for the soul. I'm still pounding the pavements (usually running away from Mrs Mick) but manage a good 40 mile a week. All of my clothing range is water proof, wind proof, shock proof, fire resistant, nuclear war proof etc. Asbestos - it's the future my antipodean friend!

Am I just dreaming again, or does anyone else bare to think that if we win tomorrow given we have a game in hand we would be within a few wins or a very good win streak off the playoffs. Maybe I'm just a dreamer that never loses hope in our great club

very true ed, I love any chance to bare and any excuse often leads to this, although Barmistvas and christenings often get me into trouble and very rarely invited back.

I think there is a very outside chance but it has happened before. It is fairly common for teams to come from nowhere into playoff places. Palace is the one that sticks in the mind most (maybe as dad is a palace fan and likes to bring it up) they were bottom at new year and looked doomed then went on a run and snuck up. It is outside but is possible.

either way it is good to go on run for next season to build confidence, make others think joining us is worthwhile and show that the current crop as not as bad as we sometimes think and they sometimes look.

so let's dare to dream and dare to bare i'm up for both.

Everything's possible but we'd realistically need to win every game which in reality isn't going to happen. We've won two on the bounce but our optimism could come crashing down around us after our very next game. It's how we roll and it's called being a Leeds fan!

Sorry to p**s on our own parade (and it doesn't make me a lesser fan oneleeds) , just keeping it real.

I've just built my hopes up too many times before only to had them shot down in flames by Mrs Mick's sister.

I'm certainly up for baring all (but beware its not a pretty sight) if we win every game and end up in the playoffs. Realistically though, I'm with MM on this one (not the shell suit bit obviously) . I think it's just as likely we could do another Brighton tomorrow, and we will be all doom and gloom again.

i agree MM and it certainly doesn't make you less of a fan it just makes you less deluded than some of us (sadly me included as I always think we will win everything same with england sadly as I do think we will win euros and put money on it) .

It is a funny old game of two halves and you have to take each game one at a time with a pinch of salt (or bag of custard if you are SE)

still nice to see us imporve if only for two games and better to think of promotion than relgation I guess.

also just to show how deluded I can be when we first went down I put a tenner on michael rickets to be league top goal scorer at 10-1. I did not cash that bet in.
