Roberto Mancini and Turkish team have parted company. I hear MC has already tapped Mancini up!

I am not Cellino bashing and I understand that we must be patient as he has had to deal with a number of financial issues, court cases and selling of his club in Italy however it is essential for the development of the club to get the head coach and director of football roles sorted out. These two roles will have a significant role to play in player recruitment and preparing the squad for the coming season. Yes it is important to ensure that the right people are selected for the roles however continued procrastination will leave the successful candidates with limited time to prepare the squad to hit the deck running when the season starts. I find it difficult to believe that Cellino did not have candidates lined up for these roles when he officially took over the club last season. it was clear that he wanted BMcD out therefore I would have expected to have his replacement ready for the new season (although it has not started yet).

I get your frustration mate however how are we to know he hasn't had people lined up for both roles?! Take into account the financial mess, selling Cagliari and then the winding up petition, they are 3 key areas he NEEDED to sort - what coach or director of football would join us with all that going on, they'd have to be mad. Having all that sorted is a great statement of intent to players & staff alike NOT a club that physically can't pay anyone because of a frozen account, possibly being wound up and a shed load of debts coming out of the woodwork! Keep the faith mate, I trust he'll sort us out and I also bet he has players in mind if not already lined up too. dodgy as he supposedly is, if nothing else he'll know where to look for things that could bite us.theres some kind if positive in everything!

Understand the frustration. I believe MC has made a mistake getting rid of BMd. He made bad choices yes but I simply do not believe there's much better out there for the type of person MC wants, ie a continental style coach. Given that BMd is gone and the financial situation, I would appoint Hockaday and have done with. I don't doubt him or Dolan could make the players better individually and as a team but I do fear for eithet's ability to manage tactically during a game. Is this the reason why MC has fired 37 coaches in 20 years? It's sad that coaches can't manage and managers can't coach but that's why you have both! We are not going to have both and my fear is we end up in mid-table obscurity yet again. What I do applaud however is MC tightly holding the purse strings as manager/owner. No more expensive goldfish or signing best friends on 25 a week. Eventually we will employ the right person to lead/manage our team. Might be a few years until the obvious choice becomes available.

Thanks guys, some interesting responses. If Cellino wants to go the way of a head coach and director of football then fine, I just want a bit less talk and a lot more action. It is important to remember that we are a football club.

Why is it that when any other club loses their manager that they seem to replace them within a day or two, but when its Leeds, they seem to take FOREVER!

{Ed003's Note - took my team 5 months lol}

Gary McAllister will be named new Leeds manager this week, is what I believe anyway.

Feel too much has been made of Dolan and Hockaday, the hype about either joining is a smoke screen.

All fun and games.

won't be employing a manger

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol Sussex a smoke screen for what? Gary Mac has already been our Manager would hardy be a shock or surprise why would MC need a smoke screen? MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Manager, Coach, it doesn't really matter to us, the official title is neither here nor there, after all it will be beyond our control what position MC chooses to give to the next man in charge of taking training/match days.

God knows why he needs a smoke screen, but Hockaday and Dolan look very unlikely now, maybe all 3 are smoke screens for someone completely different then!

If they do something similar to new lazio kit I won't be too dissapointed. Was hoping to get rid of enterprise insurance though. Does anyone know if they still have a year left on deal?

My god REALITY CHECK. Think you need one. For all the people bigging up MC there are others who clearly want to guess at what is to come & put MC down. Well both set's of opinions are wrong as there's no factual basis for either. Stop with the BS mate, clearly you don't like or want MC & that's fine but to state what he will or won't do & to say he's worse than Bates is rediculous. He's different but can't be compared to the bearded one who started this rape & pillage of lufc & then taught same tricks to the people he sold us too. Your memory is short & your reasoning pathetic. No doubt you are DH or KB or the person that is LEE CHAPMANS SOFA. Go cause your trouble on twitter like you usually do.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think the people "bigging up Cellino" are doing that because they base there opinions on how his previous club was run and those who are putting are looking at the past few years with previous owners sucking the life out of the club and also the fans they want to believe that we finally have found an owner who cares for the club but don't believe as leeds fans have a history of being left down by owners david haigh was a leeds fan apparently and he went along with a company like gfh and from the day they bought the club had the intention of flipping it without getting into an arguement with I think your post under the heading "REALITY CHECK" is quite insulting people have different opinions about everything there is no right or wrong answer you should have a bit more respect for other peoples opinions regardless of whether you think they are right or wrong I especially like your post a couple a days ago when you were replying to a post criticising mc choice of manager do you know anything about hockaday dolan festa carbone that you can make a decision on their managerial credentials everybody has to start somewhere sometimes being given a chance can reap massive benefits
e.g Ferguson getting sick while saying this but bringing in kids criticised and there were calls for his head by MU fans at that time ended up bringing through and winning title with kids

Agree0 Disagree0

After supporting Leeds for over 40 years I have to say that Celino is the first owner that has come in and questioned the whole ethics and started to do something about it?

He is prepared to put his own money into the club, unlike the shysters of GFH and Bates, etc who just borrowed on the strength of the club's name.

I am up for the ride, as always, somehow I think this one will lead somewhere else.

Agree0 Disagree0

I gave up my season ticket after 15 years when Ridsdale worked his magic, as I could bear it.
MC is a proper owner, who doesn't flash the cash on rubbish, but clearly knows what he's doing.
Bought two South Stand ST's and can't wait to get back to ER. We need to back this bloke!

Roberto Mancini has left Galatasary I no its a long shot and something that won't happen but he is a proven coach and the kind of guy to drop an underachieving player and has the guts to tell them to improve or do one. Wishful thinking I know but one can only dream lol

I presume this Dolan fella applied for the Leeds job or he wouldn't be shortlisted. If so, why have reading released a statement expressing a hands off and will leeds have to pay compensation?

It's all about upping the compo. Standard behavior for most clubs.

Reading have sacked McDermott and had the chance to put this guy in charge and missed it.

He has now been stuck in the same position for 10 years?

Do me a favour and decide where he'd rather be?

Stuck at Reading for ever or head coach at Leeds?

No contest, maybe?
