Fair play to the guy & good luck to him, but I saw how he played for us & wasn't disappointed when he left.

Sheffield United have bid 1M for Garry Mackey steven because his contract is up in the summer. Surely we could do a loan deal now and pay them compensation in the summer.

They would never agree to that

Not wishing to single out Murphy, as by all reports he had a decent game, but I felt that just flinging out a leg to ball for the penalty incident made his opponents decision easy. By blocking the path between goal would have forced the opponent to shoot. Of course the incident came from a poor punch by the keeper but It made me reflect on the number of goals we have conceeded this season through individual mistakes rather than good play on the opposition's part. Although it is part of the game I Just feel that we are more generous than most in presenting the opposition with chances.

I fully agree with you pal. We've had more cockups at the back to last 3 seasons. What he should of done is, put that chance he had 10 mins later. I think byram looked a real threat from the wing.

It is difficult to trust Murphy after his deliberate abject performance against Bradford City resulted in the gaffer getting the sack

I know we need a win badly but tbh wasnt expecting one today away from home against a team with some better results of late.
Dont get to many games so find it hard to have an opinion on performance but allways follow on bbc sport and yest seemed better than most recently.
Am I wrong in thinking this or on the pos side was yest a little more fruitful with change in tic tacs and can anyone see us staying up.
Feeling bit down with lufc at mo.😞

We played well for a draw
So next week we can't maintain that form and we lose
We lose against a barely prem team and we are happy. 1-0 a good result?
Bolton are where they are cause they may become a first division team next year.
Lets not start settling for the above. We are capable of better but are not delivering. And that is not good enough. 1-1 and 1-0 defeats are not acceptable. Not today yesterday or tomorrow

Happy with that team for away games apart from Morrison, Ant has been playing well with no service then gets dropped when we decide to add some width to our game? Adryan should be on the bench at least if Ant had been up front then brought Adryan and Monty on in second half that game was ours for the taking.Think Redders puts too much faith in his young players at times. They are good players but not game changers. At least he played Byram higher up but took him a long time to figure that out, same with Sloth. Maybe a good academy coach, although all we seem to produce is midfielders all doing the same thing when was last time we brought a decent striker through youth system. Needs to get more tactically aware to be good first team coach mot

Redfearn set that team up not to lose and that is exactly what they did, Unfortunately he lacks to tactical nous to press home the advantage we clearly had to win the game. I think Morisons inclusion was more about what he brings defensively rather than offensively, which sounds odd but represents where Redfearn's head is at.

Great post Bige - spot on.

Will be good to let Slothy boy off the lead at ER, both of his games have been lately. Antenucci and Adryan should return too

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree Smitch
Def wanna see Sloth given an extended run now that Redders knows who he is. And I'm not following the logic behind not even having Adryan on the bench - or is it a case of punishing a naughty schoolboy scenario

Looks like adryan and doukara are a pair of premadonnas from readers has said. Says they bothe need to show they want to be in the team.
If that's the case get rid. Like we always say, know one player or two is bigger then the team. We need players that are going to dig in.

Glad we got a point!
Correct me if i'm wrong. don't most teams change players around about 60 min mark?
Maybe redders was happy not to lose rather than win!
Maybe redders can't adjust tactics and players during game time.
I think redders is very limited in ability and decision making and as nice as he may be, he will take us down if not shifted back to academy!

{Ed003's Note - It's a weird one this sub on the hour mark Ausman,over all the sites you have folk saying "why do we make subs on 60 mins ? " then like yourself questioning why subs aren't made at 60 mins - never liked it myself tbh a decent coach will react and make subs when he feels they are needed.}

I agree. Tactically don't see why can't be subbed at half time. On the odd occassion I've seen it done after 25min.
I just think that anything up to 70min is worthwhile. After that for injury or maybe to bring one of your 3 strikers off to protect a lead. Else its a waste of time.
Sorry everyone for being miserable but I really don't think he is tactically astute enough for the big time. Sad but true!

Agree0 Disagree0

3 strikers on the bench, and we haven't scored in open play since the Ipswich game, that's 536mins of football less added time, we won't climb the league if it continues.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree Ausman, Refearn is tactically inept and is now intrenched in a do not lose mentality. Problems will occur when we go behind in a game, which happens more often than not, he will not know how to turn it around.
