NR is not the coach we require! Been saying it since he got the job! All his supporters will say circumstances have gone against him, due to the owners management of the club, which I do do have some symphony for him! But these results have been coming for the last month or so, the games we got points, were mainly freak results! He just hasn't got the tactical brain to influence a game! His CV is no better than Hockadays!! His pre and post match interviews are laughable! His team selection is blinkered! Time to go Neil!!

yes but nr didn't have anything to do with who was brought in so is it his thought we have no striker lacking a strong midfielder etc he has to use what he has .mc drings in players this is wrong .mc good money wise got us stable great but he can't go on picking our players end of . he might as well be on touch line and run the team completely . coach has to have say in who we bring in get balance right and players who can play together . it's the only way we can move forward or we'll stay as we are .and none of us the fans want that we want a team with pride passion and the will to win .

Sloth and doukara may leave in the summer, and adryan may not sign permanently all because redfearn wants to make himself look good by playing his academy players. Yes mowatt cook and Taylor have been good but the team is far too young and inexperienced. Redfearn has played morison for ages, he's not scored, billy sharp can only poach, antenucci is good but he has consistently left doukara out which is very odd, whther he has something against him I don't know but doukara funnily enough is still one of our top scorers and assisters this season but has not started for months and only gets five mins a week, that is if he gets on from the bench.

I used to support Redfearn's selection of Morison as despite his lack of goals I could see how he gutter into the overall tactical plan. When you are chasing a game I see absolutely no value in bringing on a striker who provides no goal threat. I would go as far as saying that his work rate is now non existant, his control is awful and the fact he spends so much time on the wing smacks of cowardice. Morison should be no where near the squad next season

It was a shocking performance throughout, we couldn't even pass the ball, and that's not individuals it was the team as a whole, Cardiff where poor but performed the basics, it looked like half the team had clocked off for the season, Bamba had a shocker, Wooton spent more time passing back than going forward.
Tactically, I and most around could see that the lone striker wasn't working, it was was switched to 4-4-2 late but the Morrison/ Sharpe was innafecctive mainly due the fact that Morrison is dire, his first touch is poor and he has forgot where the back of the net is.
No away fans but 22, 400 turned up, I honestly don't think some of the senior players understand what the fans expect, even if we lose if the players put in a shift, show some pride, play for the shirt we will accept it even in defeat, only the youngsters came out with any credit today.
Another rebuild coming next season as I think Cellino will sell, new owners, probable new mangager.

I was at the game today and clearly not the best of performances, whilst I and my friend both agreed we had maybe just the better of the first half, Cardiff always seemed to carry more threat. Antenucci is a good player but being stuck up front by himself is just not his game. Bamba was commanding at times but overall not a game I think he'd want to remember with a couple of howlers including the under hit back pass played without much regards to where Cardiff's players might be standing!

I would however like to put in a word for Murphy, a player I will admit to liking a lot, he was just about everywhere, clearing up in midfield, throwing himself into tackles up and down the pitch and seldom giving the ball away. In my view if we were looking for a new captain sometime, a very logical choice and I think it helps to be playing in midfield for that job. Personally I thought Wootton had a pretty sound game.

We could do with a natural winger!

as for back pass under hit didn't matter there player between him and keeper he just didn't look end of . a i don't care disgraceful and after he done that he got worse . surely if you want contract you play better each game not i don't give a hoot . give his wage to charity

Reading through the posts I see that after today's results we cannot be relegated. Season over then. My assessment of the state of all things Leeds United is as follows. With an owner who treats management staff the way he does, no decent manager or coach will come. With an owner who signs a player and includes a deal where if he scores 12 times he will get another year but prevents that player from playing once he has got close to the number then no decent players will sign for such a crooked stick. The current manager isn't good enough, 3 straight defeats since Thompson sacking. The current squad isint good enough. The vultures are circling to steal away are bright young prospects. We can only hope that the club will be sold. Red Bull will do for me.

Woeful performance today from the majority of the team with special mention for Bamba and Bellusci who were especially poor. Redfearn acknowledged the poor performance on the radio, which is all well and good, however what is Redfearn going to do about it for the next game? I do not condone the manager for his team giving a poor performance but I do if he continues to select the same players in the same formation in the following game. Changing Cooper for Bellusci and Morison for Antennuci will make little difference. It is situations like these that make me doubt that Redfearn is the right man to take us forward

It is clear the dismissal of Thompson and ownership rumours are affecting the players adversely. No coincidence. For many years we've been run on enotion not good old-fashioned business sense. Simple commercial reality dictated Thompson should have been kept on. This is only the official story though. The truth is ugly. Leeds have let slip he won't have his contract renewed for next season which indicates there's more to it. There will be significant upheaval in the summer but I do not believe the changes shall be welcomed by the fans. Now we look weak and prone to PL vultures trying to get our youngsters. Then Redders says they'll find it hard to snare them. Love to know why he thinks that. I think all of us think the opposite.

11 Apr 2015 17:57:23
Poor use of the bench again. Some players should not even have been on it never mind get on the pitch. We need to grab a winner let's put morrison on lol. Our foreign friends may as well pack their bags and go home they will not get a game under Redders. Despair for next season if this is all he has to offer. And letsnot pretend these kids would not have come through without Redders we have always produced players from academies, yes he has helped them but they all have talent he does not give them it. Just wish he had been a striker in his playing days then we might have some decent forwards instead of a glut of midfielders

11 Apr 2015 18:38:15
Totally agree BIGE it was woefull watching them play today and the substitution of Antennuci a 10goal striker for two strikers who have only scored four between them just shows how inept Redders is when it come to selecting from a bench with four strikers on it. Still cannot understand if he is prepared to play a nineteen year old why doesn't he give Montenegro at least some time on the park we know he can score goals and he has pace as well.

11 Apr 2015 20:19:15
If I was Sloth I look to move elsewhere as he should be playing whilst Cook is missing. We have too much youth and no experience in midfield, really simple, i'd rather finish top 3 than have a team full of academy players, you can't have both. Just look at Bournemouth, Boro and Norwich and well all of the top sides

Not really harsh, we have been lucky. Without that luck we would be down there with Millwall and Wigan. His use of bench is poor and he has no tactical awarenesss. Unless we get Thompson back or some one similiar do not think he will last long. I always say give them a chance and he has had longer than the last two and he has no idea how to change a game or to stop the opposition.

All four goals in last nights Wigan v Fulham game scored by ex Leeds players, although technically Pennant was only on loan (he did play 30 odd games though).

Anyone got any tips for the Grand National? I'm going for Oscar Time and Ballycasey both big priced EW bets. I'm buying if either of those come in. See you at the match everyone.

If RB do buy Leeds then they will not guarantee that the club colours, name and stadium name won't change. If we are rebranded 'Leeds Red Bull' play in red black white at the red bull arena - how would people feel? Personally, I would feel like my team had been taken from me and as much as I hate to say it, would not feel part of the club anymore, too many changes and re branding would be like supporting another club altogether. Part of what is Leeds United is the tradition, highs and lows rebranding will remove us from that and I feel those memories and traditions will be set aside as our new fan base only know the corporate face of our local team.

Spot on Peacock. I grew up going to Leeds with my Dad from the early 80s. We played in white at home and yellow yellow/blue combo away. We played at Elland Road, the name it was always known as and the name that brought all the success from the Revie era. You could feel the history around you on a match day and still can.

If we were to completely rebrand to Red Bulls corporate guidelines, we may swell all feck off and support someone else because it won't be Leeds United anymore. The name will go, the colours will go, the ground will probably be flattened and turned into a shiny new soulless replica stadium. All these things are synonymous with Leeds United and part of who we are.

I know some people on here would rather us take the money but at what cost? When my dad passes away, I'd hate to think that the Leeds United we shared so much joy and tears was no longer and the same for my young daughter who is now 'enjoying' being part of the Leeds family.

Money isn't everything.

I think we have to be realistic and accept that in 2015 football is 95% commercially driven and 5% 'tradition'. Our stadium has never had an official name, it's just called Elland Road because of its location, so I could comfortably live with playing at the Red Bull Arena r whatever.
There is no reason why the home kit should not continue to be predominantly white (check out New York RB's home kit).
As for the team name, the first thing is that the FA/FL will not make a change easy, if RB were to get round this somehow I think they should ensure that any future name should include the 2 words LEEDS UNITED. After all LUFC is a successful brand in its own right!
So I would suggest the dinosaurs move out of the Jurassic period and into the 21st Century.

Thanks for your opinion Bic which I don't happen to agree with but respect that. Just show a bit more class and less of the petty insults eh?

I'm quite comfortable stuck in an 80s time warp but thanks for the advice.

MM

Anyway, I'm off to catch a train to watch the lads at that football ground that's situated on Elland Road with no name haha

Agree2 Disagree1

11 Apr 2015 11:28:34
bic, we are not dinosaurs mate, Leeds United is a worldwide brand name and was long before Man Citys or Chelseas. Once we are back in the premiership it will be again no need to change anything. I have supported leeds since 66 and been all over the world and the shirt has been recognised everywhere and that's down to the clubs history not who has owned us. A red bull sign on Elland road will not change much but ask any business man the dangers involved in rebranding. You lose faithful customers and have to make a new identity. Leeds are Leeds everyone knows us, some as the damn united others as super Leeds, Take that away and you are not the mighty whites any more. Yes we are nostalgic but we obviously want what's best for the club but change if its not needed no thanks

Agree2 Disagree1

11 Apr 2015 13:32:49
The sole reason for Red Bull taking us over is to make money for them. What they will want from us is our name, our history and kit colours (famous all over the world). They wouldn't want to change any of these things. I agree changing the name of the stadium doesn't make a great deal of difference to me and I would gladly give that up in exchange for bringing back some real success.

Agree1 Disagree1

11 Apr 2015 17:21:03
Just to add to the debate: Salzburg fans discontent saw them starting a new club. In response to the dinosaur comment - I think most fans could live with changes - we live with it daily at Leeds! My point is that too much change would not be good, as pointed out - rebranding of a successful well known, well established brand does not make good buisness sense! I just don't think it should change to the point we don't look or feel like us anymore!
