Leeds 2 Man City 1. I think it was either 1969 or 1970. I can remember that there was no roof on the kop, but the next time I went, the following season the roof had been added. So what year was that? I know it cost 12 shillings and 6 pence to sit in the Low Fields Road Stand.- those were the days!

I remember the Scratching Shed where I used to stand next to the concrete base for the Floodlight.
Those were the days.

I think the game you are thinking of was 1969 at the start of the season 69/70 I think it was the charity shield which we won 2-1. I was on the kop that day but I thought the roof was on. I could be wrong. JD

Hi Ed,
heard that Stephen hunt has stumbled on personal terms with Blackpool, do you have any idea what his demands are and if he would be available for us? {Ed013's Note - I can't see his demands being that much, but if its true then I imagine that the Blackpool chairman is either tighter than cramp, won't pay over the odds which isn't a bad thing or he isn't good enough. The way I see it is that he is available to any Club, but why hasn't he got one by now? Is he greedy or just unlucky}

Saw an interview with new Blades investor "Prince Abdullah", apparently he was looking to invest in a Championship team to get them to the Premier league at first. He's gone on to co-own them for just £1. I can't help thinking this was the guy GFH were hoping to make a deal with, but he went for the bargain basement option instead. Reckon we dodged a bullet though, evidently doesn't have the funds to compete in the big leagues.

His bought 50% for a quid but has promised 20 mill in investment of players which if gfh would have accepted that who knows, would of prob give us a good chance of promotion but would he invest in prem havin a 50% share?

It would have cost him 20 mil just to buy 50% of Leeds. it isn't a viable investment to small-timers like him.

Considering GFH paid 52 million pound for the club it is highly unlikely they would accept 1 pound for any percentage in the club with the promise of 20 million pound on the squad. Sheffield united were obviously desperate for investment. I can't really see him spending 20 million pound in league one and he will probably spend that amount in a longer amount of time than GFH will

How many more times gfh didn't pay 52 million for the club it was closer to 30 at most
