Well now it's been confirmed, Wood leaving for the bright lights of Burnley, medical at The Etihad as we are playing Sunderland! I hope the club will do the right thing by sorting out refunds or shirt name re-prints for all of our very loyal supporters who have used their hard earned cash to buy the new shirts with Wood put on the back! I am so peed off, why wait until three games in, why on earth can we not put our foot down and say NO, you signed a contract and you will honour it! I know how it works, its best to cash in as his head has been turned blah blah blah! Well I'm with Curahee, put him in the reserves until he comes out and apologises to all the supporters who work bloody hard to afford the expensive days out following our team because we are LOYAL! Is my post sour grapes? Yes it is! Petty? Probably! Does it make me angry? Yes it does because of the way these bloody footballers walk in to our club and say this is a dream to play for such a big club and I promise I'm giving it my all, then half way through his contract, see you later I'm off to Las Burnley! Well I for one hope and pray that in May 2018 we are all waving at Wood and Taylor as we go up and they go down! Will it still be your dream then Mr Wood? It will be JUSTICE! Sorry people if you don't agree, I'm not looking for an argument, I'm just fed up of these selfish, self absorbed players! MOT

Top post. Absolutely agree. I had a contract with the British Army and never broke it in 22 years, served in every conflict of modern times and bever earned more in a year than he will earn in a week. Work that out.

Can we be clear Wood never put in transfer request. Never refused to play. Never sulked and sat on the bench. Never held the club over a barrel. Did his job didn't complain. Leeds United had an offer and accepted an offer and decided to sell Wood. Wood honoured his contract with Leeds.

Well it is what it is. £15m if invested well could be the difference this season. I'm sure it will be invested wisely Rads doesn't seem to be a fool with his cash, so it's probably going to be a good think in the long run. I agree with many others, I don't see him as getting another 30 goals this season, and I'd be surprised to see him get double figures at Burnley. On wards and upwards. i reckon his replacements are already in line and will sign by Wednesday ish. Just need to focus on a cb now too.

I might be going out on a bit of a limb here Mike, but something gives me the impression that you're just a tiny wincy annoyed. Quite right too, the timing off this is inexcusable and I cannot understand why we didn't tell Wood and Burnley "We are preoccupied at present, we will discuss this on Sunday, as long as you put a good shift in, yer Judas b'stard".

For gods sake wex do you read people's posts beforehand when you reply? ! Who said wood did do that? certainly I didn't and don't think mike did! mikes more annoyed at the club I believe! The contract discussion is general football contracts, not wood or his actions!

On another note, "If he wants to play football at the highest level", why in God's hairy hole has he signed for Burnley?

It's all about money, and he sees it as a stepping stone! I'd quite like a £30k a week pay rise too, but that won't happen. Have to say on form I'd much prefer McCormack than wood for the same price

You need to look at your posts regarding letting him rot on the bench curaheehee

What are you talking about now wex? It is about money and he does see it as a stepping stone, that's a fact! Oh and wex "let's get one thing clear wood has not refused to play", well that came back to bite you!

Spot on Curahee, it was Wood who refused to play as TC wanted him on the pitch! Leeds United and TC before the game refused to comment, yet Chris Wood has, in my opinion that says it all! I am annoyed with both the club and Wood, mainly because of the timing and the lack of respect for his team mates and most Importantly the fans, we Leeds fans regardless of anything should be shown respect as we are the ones that sing his name every week!
