First thing for me is that we need to speak up a bit for Bamford from last night. That was a penalty and Keogh knew it. The only un professional aspect was Keogh - who looks and sounds like a village idiot - lambasting Bamford as he was on the floor after the ref. indicated his decision. We then have a slight coming together between the two of them at the other end, Keogh goes over theatrically and the ref. awards them a free kick. An elite ref. judged the player not the incidents with Bamford last night and that's poor form. Bielsa doesn't criticise refs. - fair enough - but he should say something about the penalty claim because it stigmatises Bamford unfairly and he needs to stick up for him as his player. He dived a couple of weeks ago and paid for it but he hasn't got a track record for it. I also noted that there was no half time or post match analysis of that incident from SKY last night, unlike the non penalty that Derby claimed at the weekend. Their coverage of us this year has been pernicious and reminds me of that Meatloaf song - I want you, I need you but there ain't no way I'm ever going to love you but - hey - two outta three ain't bad! Ching Ching! Bamford can finish but his style of play doesn't suit us or Bielsa's and his head drops too easily, so he may not appear for us again and I'm fine with that but he got the rough end last night.

I'll speak up for Bamford, no worries. He was off-side a fair bit meaning he's timing his runs badly. His first touch is absolutely awful. His strength on the ball is almost non-existent meaning seemingly anyone can take the ball off him. For me, it wasn't a penalty, it was another attempt to dupe the ref. I hope to god that he goes over the summer as he's no place in our team. He can't shoot, he can't hold up the ball, he can't tackle, he can't retain the ball, he can't pass with any degree of accuracy. Simply not good enough for the team.

In other news, Pablo has been looking tired the last half dozen games. Sure, he's fit for his age but I'm not sure we can rely on him for a full season of 90 minute matches. I'd hate to see him go, but I think we need to invest over the summer, and drop him back to a "playmaker coming off the bench". I hope he doesn't retire but he looked knackered.

Recruitment over the summer is a worry as we have Victor running the show.

southern what you on about with Victor. He has been focusing on youth are by all accounts are doing really well. our ones for the future look like that are coming of age.

not sure victor deserves any criticims to be fair.

That's your opinion Bermo and you're welcome to it.
However, will it be a different story if/ when Orta sells Shacks and Clark over the summer to fund some 'Senior' players of the same ability as Bamford?

I too picked up on your points. Keogh should have been booked for his outrageous dive (couldn't believe he got a free kick for it) , and would then have had to be wary of another yellow. He is constantly looking to incite a reaction. Bamford should not have been booked as he was pushed but contact was too light to give a pen.
like most though, I do think Bamford has been a disappointment.

Whitesee absolutely right on Keogh and Bamford. Bermo, you can’t protect Orta from criticism nor anyone else. The youth recruitment is a good idea but not all has worked, a lot out on loan already. Senior player recruitment, Forshaw, Douglas, Bamford, Brown, Baker, Harrison, Kiko all have question marks. Any good post season review needs to look at everyone and everybody.

Sorry Spanish but I would add Alioski to your question mark list. His one redeeming feature is the effort he puts in but headless and chicken spring to mind. The effort also does not cover his petulance and final delivery.

i agree spanish and southern just not sure for all the blame thrown around today orta should be near top of the list. overall i think orta has been a success

if we sell shacks and clarke ill be gutted but that is rads not orta who should be hung drawn and quatered and MB for not getting us over the line and keeping the players with the prem money we would of got

bring back Celliono 12 million for mccormack he will get a fortune for clarke and shacks

also blame rads for letting veria go. phillips can't lace vieras boots that's why one has england caps and got money move and the other didnt.

Leodis, I have a soft spot for Alioski and think as we have stayed in the championship he is a good squad player with flexibility and determination, I like his feisty character and imagine he adds quite a lot to the team spirit in a Gascogne type way. Keep!

Gianni is a definitely keep, for the reasons you point out Spaniard. Give me 11 with his heart, and the Bielsa style, and we would be champions.
