Did not go to the match tonight so would be interested to hear. After reading a few pundits scores there appears to be one who, tho not low, is regularily the lowest score. Alioski. Does he deserve it?

He was probably the poorest player tonight. He does lots of good stuff, but it’s often let down by the final ball, offside or ball going out of play. He was stronger earlier in the season. I’ve seen Jack Clarke play live three times now and against obviously weaker opposition, he has looked as good a player but with perhaps a more consistent final product. Clarke’s weakness is probably his fitness, he’s still building it up and I’m not sure he could put in a full shift in that position in the way Bielsa wants him to play. I’d like to see him gradually coming in for Alioski and getting some magnets time as the season goes on.

I think from memory that Alioski, struggled a bit last year after the international break, in fact I think he was given a few games off.

i am baised, i like him

offers pace, can beat a man, hit a pass, get an assist scores (all facts) . he is caught offside and can get final ball wrong which frustrates. but he offers a lot. i would also like to say he worries oppents and is busy. I use last week as good example, every time aliski and saiz got the ball wall fans worried. for me this speaks voloums. also said I can see why some would get annoyed with him. but for me one of our better players as he makes things happen. this said harrision was different class tonight and saiz is one of best in the league.

I like Alioski a lot too! Saw him in his first few games and immediately thought as you. Just wonder if he might need a rest every now and again to freshen him up and show him that there is some competition for his role. I think there are a lot of similarities between Alioski and Jack Clarke, Alioski just has the physical edge and experience at the moment. At the moment we’re comparing them against different opposition, but I think we’ve got cover for the position.

Alioski is frustrating at times but does a lot of work for the team and has the class to be better than he is at the moment. Saying that Clarke will be playing in his place next season, maybe end of this one.

Ali a better player this season than last, he has stopped the rolling around, but I do think he needs to be rested .
Every time he goes off on Inter break he comes back off, whether Clarke is worth a go as Spanish suggested then I'm sure Mb will give it a go .
Really pleased for Roberts to.

Gotta say, I'm totally pro Alioski. He does have his slack moments in games, but I don't think his desire or effort can ever be questioned, which is pretty much all you can ask for from a player. Clarke will definitely have him looking over his shoulder soon tho, which can only be a positive thing.

I'm not so sure we should be getting on at Alioski for the offsides, he gets in some good positions and doesn't get the ball played to him quickly enough.

thats a good point stafford, think sometimes he is a step ahed of rest of team. and the oppositiion back line. i agree spansih think he could do with rest and be subbed early. that is my one compaitn with MB i'd like to see early subs when possible. for me the second the second goal went in i'd take saiz and alisko off and brought on clake and endmonson (moved roberts back) . think roberts could also cover aliski place when roofe back. that said i don't want to see him dropped and think he is one of our most important players fo making thing shappen but very excited to see clarke in action.
