Not a rumour, just a thought. The overarching response to yesterdays performance seems to lie around lack of passion.

The " Alan Smith" back to leeds rumours have done the rounds for many years.

It seems to me that what the fans are crying out for and have been since the smith rumours begun is something we sadly lack. Passion.

I believe that it is not Smith that those fans want to see back at our club, more like the spirit of smith.

Even for those amongst us who now almost refuse to acknowledge the good times he gave us, there are several things which we cannot ignore.

Here stood a boy/man in a leeds shirt who would run through a brick wall for our club, a player who understood what Leeds United means to its fans and the city. Some may say that this made his later decisions even more unforgiveable but that is not the point of this post.

A new manager will more than likely begin to address some of our issues but NW's replacement has a huge responsibility to identify from within our youth, those who have the necessary talent coupled with "The spirit of Smith" because in my eyes, these youngsters represent the future of our club. Byram is a great example but just the beginning. I for one cannot wait to be at ER to witness the discovery of the next Batty, Smith, Milner etc.

Smith is too old and he is playing in league 1

Op here. Agree about smith. That was not my intended point. What made smith special to Leeds fans was his Leeds background and approach to the game. There must be those qualities within the youth at our club now. So let's find it and use it.
