So Leeds united received 500 k for the academy.

so where has the money gone????????

It obviously was not ring fenced.

Hi, I heard reports are wrong about Thorp Arch closing to save costs. Apparently we're refurbishing the training ground with that money

The FA provided £500K to all cat 2 academies and the Clubs were meant to match this. So there should have been £1M spent on the youth academy to include improvements in infrastructure and employment of academy staff. Barnsley revamped all their facilities with lots of improvements evident at their academy including a 3g with stadium) and more full time staff employed. Leeds built a low fence around the first team pitch. Oh, and belatedly installed new 3g as their old surface was condemned 2 years ago. From my understanding there is no infrastructure improvements planned at TA during the summer.
