Rapid Vienna have made a bid for Rodolph Austin worth believed to be in the region of £1,000,000. {Ed013's Note - Hmmm really, to be fair I would bite their hands off for that}

Cannot believe the bad press Austin gets, I rate him highly within the current squad and thought that the last few games he played as well as anybody!

4.) 06 Jun 2013
I'd pay his flight ticket, vastly overrated somewhere between Thomas Brolin and Frank Strandli

All austin does is shoot and most of the time misses by miles. shocking player with no teamplay about him. get him out of leeds now please good at tackling but nothing else

Y ed he's a class player just ridiculed with injury {Ed013's Note - Just my opinion mate, I don't rate him, but will support him in a Leeds kit. His passing is terrible as is his positioning and I lost count how many times he gave the ball to the upper reaches or the North and South stands when shooting from everywhere on the pitch}

I think Rudy comes in for too much stick. He came straight into pre-season after just finishing his season in the Tippeligaen. He's had a serious injury he's returned from in a ridiculously short time and has had a pretty hectic international schedule.

People should suspend judgement until next season

Have to say, I'm with Ed on this one. I'll always give the 11 men in white my fulll support throughout the 90 mins, but I'm afraid Championship has always looked a level above Rudi's natural level. I think there's always been a lot of wishful thinking on the part of some fans about Rudi's ability, based largely on those YouTube clips of a couple of spectacular pot-shots that were doing the rounds at the time we signed him. Remember, even those clips were of matches against substandard opposition -in the Norweigan League, and playing for a very wek Jamaican team. Wholehearted lad, and seems like a nice fella, but I'm afraid those qualities alone will not get us up. Chapel A

I seem to remember everyone on this site raving about Austin after his first few performances for us up to his injury. Unfortunately, I feel that fatigue from playing two seasons back-to-back and his injury took their toll and he didn't perform till the last few games of the season where we saw the real Rudy. He's a real asset to the team as he intimidates the opposition and he actually does make quite a few decent tackles. {Ed013's Note - Lets hope so mate}
